Private pottery workshops are relaxed, guided sessions created just for you and your group. They’re designed for people who want to slow down, make something by hand, and enjoy a shared creative experience. My private pottery workshops in Manchester focus on presence, connection, and the simple pleasure of working with clay.

Private workshops are ideal for friends, couples, families, and small groups looking for a meaningful experience to enjoy together. They’re often booked for celebrations, special occasions, or simply as a way to spend quality time doing something creative and grounding.

Group sizes vary depending on the type of workshop, allowing each session to feel relaxed, focused, and supportive.
Craft & Fire workshops are suitable for small groups of 2–20 people, making them ideal for friends, celebrations, and shared creative experiences. Numbers are kept intentionally manageable so everyone has space to engage with the process.
Throwing workshops are offered as 1:1 or 2:1 sessions, allowing for close guidance and a slower, more immersive experience at the wheel.
Sensory friendly workshops are usually designed specifically for the individual, with pacing, environment, and structure adapted to support comfort and wellbeing.
If you’re unsure which workshop format is best for your group, I’m always happy to advise.
-
The location of each private pottery workshop depends on the type of session, allowing the environment to support the experience fully.
Throwing workshops and sensory friendly workshops take place in my small, quiet garden studio in Manchester. This space is intentionally calm and contained, making it well suited to focused, one-to-one or individual sessions.
Craft & Fire workshops can be held in the studio for groups of up to 8 people. For larger groups, these workshops are fully mobile and can take place in your home or at a suitable alternative venue. This flexibility allows Craft & Fire workshops to accommodate groups of up to 20 people while maintaining a relaxed atmosphere.
If you’re unsure which space or format would work best for your group, I’m happy to help you choose the most suitable option.
-
After the workshop, your pieces are carefully dried, fired, and finished. This process usually takes around 3–4 weeks, allowing time for the clay to dry fully and be fired safely. Once ready, your finished pottery will be available for collection or delivery.
-
If you need to cancel or reschedule your private pottery workshop, please contact me by email or phone at least 7 days before the scheduled date.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 7 days’ notice are usually non-refundable, as materials and preparation will already have taken place. Thank you for your understanding.
