Craft and Fire Workshop

Pottery Experiences, Brought to You

Instructor showing how to hand-build a ceramic pot using slab building in a beginner pottery class at Urban Meadows Pottery, Manchester.

What to Expect

During the session, I’ll guide you step-by-step through the process of hand building your very own ceramic piece. I’ll show you how to shape your clay using age-old methods such as slab rolling, pinching and coiling, no wheel required!

Most people enjoy making mugs, vases, or plant pots, but we can tailor the session to your group’s interests or theme.

Glazing & Finishing Touches

You’ll have the chance to decorate your creation using a variety of decorating techniques, finishing it all off with a choice of beautiful ceramic glazes.

Once your piece is finished, I’ll take it away to be fired in my kiln. You’ll receive your finished pottery, professionally fired and food safe, delivered back to you in 4–6 weeks.

Mobile Workshops Available

Prefer to host the workshop in your own space? No problem. I can bring everything to you!

Whether it’s your home, garden, workplace, or a special event, I’ll set up the full experience on-site. I can even help you find the perfect venue if needed.

Craft and Fire Workshops are ideal for:

  • Creative get togethers

  • Or just a mindful moment for yourself

No prior experience needed, as I will be there to guide and support you throughout.
